Affiliate Programme
Reformat Affiliate Programme Terms
These terms govern participation in the Reformat affiliate programme. Reformat is a Microsoft Word add-in built by Cleveland R&D Limited. The programme is run on the Reditus platform. Participation is also subject to our Terms of use and Privacy Policy.
1. Who can join
The programme is open to individuals and businesses who can reach our audience of legal professionals, including legal-tech consultants, knowledge-management and innovation advisers, legal content creators, publishers, and existing Reformat customers.
Every application is reviewed by hand. We approve affiliates who are a good fit for a regulated legal audience. We may decline or remove an affiliate at our discretion, including where there is a conflict of interest or a reputational concern.
2. How commission works
- We pay a recurring commission of 20% of the payments we receive from a customer you refer, for the first 12 months of that customer's paid subscription.
- From months 13 to 24 the rate is 10%. After 24 months, no further commission is paid on that customer.
- Commission is calculated on the net amount we actually receive, excluding VAT, refunds, and chargebacks.
- A referral must convert to a paid plan for any commission to arise. Free trials and unpaid signups do not generate commission.
- Top-performing affiliates may be moved to a higher commission tier at our discretion.
3. Tracking and attribution
- Referrals are tracked through your unique Reditus link or, where agreed, a coupon code.
- Attribution is last click, with a 90-day cookie window. If a person clicks your link and subscribes to a paid plan within 90 days, the referral is credited to you.
- Where more than one affiliate is involved, the most recent click before signup takes the credit.
4. Payment
- Commission is approved after a 30-day holding period from the customer payment, to allow for refunds and cancellations.
- Approved commission is paid monthly, once your balance reaches a minimum of £50. Balances below the threshold roll over to the next month.
- You are responsible for any tax due on commission you earn. Commission is paid exclusive of VAT unless you are VAT registered and invoice accordingly.
5. How you may promote Reformat
You may promote Reformat through your own channels, including your website, blog, newsletter, social media, videos, and direct recommendations to your network.
You must:
- Use only the approved messaging, claims, and assets we provide. Every claim about Reformat must come from material we have supplied.
- Disclose that you earn a commission, in line with advertising standards and the expectations of a professional audience.
- Keep your content accurate and professional, fitting for a legal readership.
6. What is not allowed
- No bidding on our brand terms in paid search. You may not run paid ads on “Reformat” or close variants, or on misspellings of them.
- No impersonation. You may not present yourself as Reformat, Cleveland R&D, or Cleveland & Co, or imply an official or employment relationship beyond being an affiliate.
- No invented evidence. Do not publish statistics, figures, or quotes about Reformat that we have not supplied.
- No content aimed at named competitors or individuals. Make the case for Reformat on its merits. Do not attack named products or people.
- No spam. No unsolicited bulk email, no misleading subject lines, no automated or incentivised clicks.
- No self-referrals for your own paid account.
- No cookie stuffing, forced clicks, or other attribution manipulation. Suspicious activity is automatically flagged and may lead to withheld commission and removal.
7. Use of brand and assets
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable permission to use the Reformat name and supplied assets only to promote the product under these terms. All intellectual property remains ours. This permission ends when your participation ends.
8. Confidentiality and data protection
Handle any personal data you collect in connection with the programme in line with UK data protection law. Do not share non-public information we give you for the programme outside its purpose.
9. Ending participation
- Either side may leave the programme at any time, with notice in writing (email is fine).
- We may suspend or remove an affiliate immediately for a breach of these terms, for fraud, or for conduct that risks our reputation.
- On exit, commission already approved and above the threshold will be paid in the next cycle. Commission tied to conduct that breached these terms may be withheld.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We will give reasonable notice of material changes. Continued participation after a change means you accept the updated terms.
